Chopping down the (Cedar) Tree

John and I love to chop down our own Christmas tree. I am not talking about going to a tree farm here. I am talking about hunting down a fence row tree that was previously unloved and taking it home and making it our own. Its very rustic and country Christmas but it wouldn't be Christmas with out it. Tomorrow is the day when we will hunt down our tree. Here are a few pictures from last years hunt!

{Is this the tree?}

2nd year family pictures

As you many know I love my pictures. I carry a camera with me at all times and am ready to strike when ever the mood may hit. So after having all of our wedding pictures done 2 years ago John and I decided to do family pictures every year. So last year we started out and every May/Early spring we will do a new set of shots. At first I was a bit concerned about the cost of taking on such an adventure but quickly found out of my co-workers, Anna, loves to do pictures, and has a nice camera. She did our pictures last year and this year as well. She does a great job and we have a lot of fun. Here is a few of this year's favorite pictures:

Best move to date

I have to give a huge thank you to all who helped us move: Ryan, Darin, Renee, Zac, Scott, Theresa, John's dad, and John's grandma. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Our move was so painless today that I'm glad I spent all the time fussing and working. We started off last night getting the moving truck after work. John and I had set up the old place so that everything was in a box with a number and color (color for what room of the new house and number as to what was in it). Total time our move took 4 hours with an hour lunch break before we unloaded. Everything is in its correct room and all we have to do is unpack. Amazing. Could not have happened with out our friends and family.

I know feel like I can move and not have it make me want to pull my hair out. It makes me feel so good to know I can do it; I can put my mind to anything and get it done with help and love.
