John and I recently created a compost bin out of a regular garbage can. All we did was cut a 'flap' at the bottom of the can so we can get the compost out about ever 2-4 weeks.

This will hopefully help cut down on the amount of garbage we produce (good for the enviroment) and make our gardens nicer with the rich compost (good for eating!)
